Switch to BrewerSync
The hardest part of changing brewery software is taking your data with you. That is why you import customers, products and price lists straight from a spreadsheet, and why we help you for free while your trial runs.
30 days of every module, no credit card needed.
What you can import
Three kinds of data, each with its own template. They land in BrewerSync as if you had entered them by hand.
Customers
Name, contact person, email, phone, VAT number, company registration number, payment terms, discount, delivery address with delivery instructions, billing address and billing email, and the customer's price list.
Products
One row per sellable product: beer, style, ABV, container (bottle, can, keg), content, pack and units per pack, price, VAT rate, deposit, GTIN and SKU. The same beer in a crate and a keg becomes one beer with two products.
Price lists
Agreed prices per price list, by SKU or GTIN, with a quantity break. Optionally, each row says which customer gets the list.
What the import does not cover
Stock, open orders, order history and invoices are not moved with the import wizard. You count stock into BrewerSync through the warehouse, so every movement can be traced. Recipes are imported separately as BeerXML in the recipes module.
How it works
From spreadsheet to BrewerSync, in the import wizard under Settings.
- 1
Export or collect your data
Export your customers and products as CSV or Excel from your current software, or take the spreadsheet you already keep.
- 2
Choose your file
Upload a .csv or .xlsx. Use the BrewerSync template, or simply your own file with column headers in the first row.
- 3
Map the columns
The wizard recognises column headers in Dutch, English, German and French ("Naam", "Name", "Kundenname", "Nom") and suggests a mapping. You check and adjust.
- 4
Review the preview
For each row you see what will be imported and which errors there are. Amounts like "1,234.50", "1.234,50" and "0,33" are read correctly. Duplicates (same VAT number or name and postcode, same SKU or GTIN) are skipped or updated, your choice.
- 5
Import and fix
The import runs in batches and ends with a summary. Rows that did not make it can be downloaded as an error file, with the reason, to fix and import again.
The templates
In the import wizard you download a CSV template per kind, with example rows and column headers in your language. These are the columns; only the bold ones are required.

Switching from where you are now
Switching from Breww
According to Breww's own documentation, you export a report there with the Export to Excel or Export to CSV button. Which report best contains your customers and products differs per account; the wizard reads both the Excel and the CSV file.
Not sure which report you need, or does the export not fit our columns? Send us the file during your trial and we will help you convert it.

BrewerSync vs BrewwSwitching from Excel
Do you keep your customers and beers in Excel or Google Sheets today? Then it is easiest: put the column headers in the first row, one customer or one product per row, and upload the file. From an .xlsx we read the first sheet.
We do not read old .xls files; save such a file in Excel as .xlsx or CSV. From Google Sheets, download the sheet as .xlsx or .csv.
Switching from other software
Export your customers and products as CSV or Excel from your current software. Column names do not have to match exactly: you map them in the wizard, and whatever we recognise is already set.
Does your software only export one line per order, or a format you do not recognise? Get in touch during your trial and we will look at what is possible together.
We help you for free
During your 30-day trial we help you switch at no cost. Is your export giving you trouble, or are you unsure what your columns should be called? Send us the file and we will take a look.

Frequently asked questions
Can I repeat an import without duplicate customers?
Yes. The wizard recognises customers by VAT number, or by name and postcode, and products by SKU or GTIN. For each import you choose whether duplicates are skipped or updated.
Which file formats work?
CSV (with semicolon, comma or tab as separator) and Excel .xlsx. A file can have up to 5 MB and 5000 rows; split larger files.
Does my spreadsheet have to be in Dutch?
No. Column headers in Dutch, English, German and French are recognised, and you can map any column yourself. "fles", "bottle", "Flasche" and "bouteille" are all recognised too.
What happens to rows with errors?
They are not imported. You already see the error per row in the preview, and after the import you download an error file with the reason per row.
Does help with switching cost anything?
Not during your 30-day trial. Reply to the welcome email or use the contact form.
